Typically, lightly steamed, a pale cream to blonde colour, fine grain, even texture with a distinctive fleck present. Often seen in bent wood restaurant chairs due to its excellent steam bending properties.

European beech has a fine dense grain, machines well by hand and machine. Sharp cutters are a must, however handled correctly a great finish can be achieved.
Furniture, high class joinery, shopfitting (known for office furniture and bentwood restaurant chairs), tool handles, turnery, toys, doors and flooring. Great for steam bending.
